I have taken the time to go through my chest of drawers and have down sized a good amount of clothes. I took 3 bags full to the Good Will yesterday. I still have my closet to go through but will wait a few more weeks until I gather up the courage to let more stuff go. At least I’ll have a nice tax write off this for this year.
The Washing of Hands
I have always washed my hands more than most people do. I was beginning to think I was getting a bit OCD about it all. But I do believe that with the threat of the Swine Flu it is a positive thing to do and I hope more people will keep their guard up and minimize spreading germs to others. The washing of hands throughout the day just makes good sense.
Wind Talker
I watched the move Wind Talker last night, starring Nicholas Cage. What an awesome story that came to life on the big screen over a decade ago. It had more blood and guts than I’d like to see, but well worth the time it took to watch it. The Navajos made a great sacrifice to a country that has always put the screws to them and their land and ancestors.
Leather Weather
Right now is the perfect time for a motorcycle ride. It is what is referred to as “Leather Weather.” In a few weeks the leaves will be turning and a ride to Skyline Drive, on the Blue Ridge Parkway would be a perfect way to spend a Saturday or Sunday afternoon.
9-11-09
Today is September 11, 2009. It is a day to remember the horrible tragedies that so many people suffered eight years ago today. I’m glad that there are people still trying to keep that day in history from fading from our memories. We should never forget the loss of life and how it effected so many people that fateful day.
